The Athlete Ink was established in 1998. Owner and President Steve Smith has 28 years of experience in the Autograph/Collectibles business. Smith started Stacks of Plaques with Lou Scalia in 1985 (1st company to be licensed to sell autographed memorabila by MLB) and was on the road for Gotta Have It! of New York and Florida for 12 years.
For the last five years, Smith is now focused on supplying some of the nicest, most creative signed/unsigned memorabilia found anywhere to the wholesale/retail market as well as charitable events.
The Athlete Ink is proud to announce that Adrienne Glickman has joined us and we now provide a wide selection of jewelry for our charitable events. These include costume pieces inspired by famous designers as well as the genuine article.
With our experience and sources for finding great items, and our exclusive relationship with renowned framer Horatio Granade, we have formed a great creative team as seen in photos around our site. Please look around and feel free to contact us directly.
Authenticity is the most important part of our business. The Athlete Ink works very hard to assure that all items are properly authenticated.
We use Jimmy Spence of JSA and PSA/DNA to authenticate anything that has not been signed in front of us. Jimmy Spence of JSA are the most respected authenticators in the industry.
We have done many private signings with athletes such as Dan Marino, Muhammad Ali, Mickey Mantle, Pete Rose, and, most recently, Jockey Ron Turcotte.
The Athlete Ink also specializes in custom work. We have created hundreds of unsigned pieces that have been used by country clubs and sports bars for decoration. We can create unsigned pieces as awards for golf tournaments or other functions.
Please contact us if you would like to receive more information about our custom memorabilia pieces.
